Hello!

Summer is over and we had a blast. A few weeks ago we went to Dallas for a wedding and then to San Antonio. Penny danced the night away ( she was on the dance floor till 11:30!!).  We went to SeaWorld and Penny got to meet Elmo and Big Bird which she was very excited about. She loves the characters and wanted to pet them all and give hugs. We went to the Alamo but it was very humid and hot so Penny was not the biggest fan.  

 Right now we are getting ready for Penny to turn 3. She has qualified to enter the DD pre-school to continue to receive therapy for a speech and Language delay and for vision impairment. We are still working closely with her ophthalmologist and neurologist to control the excess fluid her brain and to protect her eyesight as much as possible. She has done a great job of wearing her glasses and the patch as part of her treatment. We hope you are doing well. 

Penny Update 

Happy Summer! I hope you are keeping cool and having a good summer. We have had a busy few months with Penny. As we mentioned before she has been seeing an ophthalmologist for her eyes, but we have revealed a greater issue that is causing her vision issues. She has Inter-Cranial  hypertension with really no know cause.  She is on medication and we are working very proactively to help her with this challenge.   We have been keeping life according to her pace and working with different therapists while this issue is happening. She is a Frozen fanatic and has developed a huge interest in trucks, trains, and semi-trailers.  We have been going swimming to keep cool and she is starting to become quite daring. Penny has a major sweet tooth

 Hello!
   We celebrated our 2 year anniversary date of Penny's adoption finalization by going to White Sands. We made sand castles, went sledding and had great quality family time. Penny is in the "princess " phase right now and is a huge fan of all things Frozen! She loves singing and dressing up in anything with tulle. Our newest accessory though are some glasses. Penny is doing a fantastic job adjusting to the glasses and wearing a patch (to help correct her left eye from turing inward) 2 hours a day. We are so thankful to have her in our lives and wish you well.

Hello!

Life is finally slowing down a bit from all the holiday fun. We also just got back from a weekend getaway with a couple other families. Penny spent two days with her best friend, and they had a blast. Penny loves to eat snow but she was not a fan of sledding . She also had her year evaluation for her speech and language therapy. She has progressed very well and services now have decreased by half. Penny loves books and present tea parties and of course Minnie Mouse.  I hope you are doing well and had a good holiday.
